Argali: The Mountain King of the Savanna Edges

Argali sheep, or wild mountain sheep, are magnificent creatures that occasionally inhabit the edges of savanna ecosystems near rocky terrains. Known for their massive, spiraling horns, these animals are symbols of strength and resilience. Males use their impressive horns during mating season to compete for dominance, engaging in head-butting contests that can last for hours.

Argali are herbivores, feeding on grasses, shrubs, and other vegetation. Their grazing patterns help control plant growth and prevent overgrazing, contributing to the savanna's delicate ecological balance. These animals are highly mobile, capable of covering long distances to find food and water during dry seasons. However, habitat loss and hunting pose significant threats to their populations, emphasizing the need for conservation efforts to protect this majestic species.
